Neighbourhood police officers

These are officers who are dedicated to working in designated neighbourhoods and who are not abstracted to duties elsewhere unless in extraordinary circumstances.

They are familiar and accessible to their local community, helping to identify local priorities and working with residents and partner organizations such as the local authority to find solutions to local crime and disorder problems.
